One of our favorite recipes is Off-And-On-hand-Soup, for when there's not much in the fridge and you want dinner or unexpected guests stop by. Cheese, vegies and hotdogs is transformed into such a warm and comforting dinner. You could use any cheese, any vegies from your fridge and any bits of leftover meats and it would be just as delicious. Pair this with crackers (because cheese and crackers), a mixed green salad and a lovely white wine. Mr. Cranwell suggests a Pouilly Fumé, but we had a lovely chardonnay and it was a perfect winter supper.
